The General Assembly of associates is the highest authority of CEMarin and is composed of all its members. In accordance with the Statutes of the Corporation, the General Assembly is responsible for all matters which are not expressly allocated to another management body. The Assembly directs and guides the policies, acts and businesses of CEMarin, and adopts measures to achieve its objectives. Likewise, it appoints the members of the Board of Directors for periods of one year and approves the financial statements and the budget of the Corporation.
The Board of Directors is the general management and administration body of CEMarin, subordinated to the guidelines and policies of the General Assembly. It is composed of three main members. In accordance with the Statutes of the Corporation, the Board of Directors is in charge of presenting to the General Assembly reports on the progress of the Corporation’s activities, as well as the budget, balance and financial statements of the Corporation. It also approves the specific regulatory proposals for the proper functioning of CEMarin, builds work commissions and creates committees that are in charge of directing or managing
the activities that it carries out.

The Scientific Committee is composed of delegates of each the member institutions of CEMarin. The Scientific Committee is responsible for defining the Corporation’s lines of research. It also designs, plans and develops the structure of the academic and teaching activities of CEMarin, such as international field schools, thematic workshops, conferences, courses, diploma courses, conferences, etc. On the other hand, it discusses and approves the terms of the scientific and academic calls of the
Corporation, at the same time that it selects the students that are benefited by the scholarships, courses and workshops that are offered. It is also the function of the Scientific Committee to review, evaluate and select the research projects or studies to obtain financial or academic support from CEMarin.
