Call No. 15: Financial support for registration to the ISDSC7

CEMarin informs the open of the Call No. 15 of 2019, adressed to CEMarin Early Stage Researchers. Its objective is to support them financially for the registration to the 7th International Symposium on Deep-Sea Corals (ISDSC7).

Call No. 13: Seed Grants

CEMarin informs the opening of the Call No. 13 of 2018, addressed to CEMarin researchers. Its objective is to support them financially for the preparation of a collaborative interdisciplinary research proposal in an emerging field of marine sciences.

Call No. 12: Financial support for doctoral thesis projects in marine sciences and related topics

CEMarin informs the opening of the Call No. 12 of 2018, addressed to CEMarin Early Stage Researchers. Its objective is to provide them financial support for the development of their doctoral thesis projects in marine sciences and related topics.

Call No. 3: CEMarin Early Stage Researchers

Open date: September 15th, 2015.

By joining CEMarin as one of its Early Stage Researchers (ESR), PhD students will have the opportunity to share their research projects with other marine sciences students and researchers. It will also allow them to participate in other CEMarin calls and be eligible for scholarships and receive financial support for the development of their thesis projects, attend courses, workshops and field schools.

Within the framework of this call, permanently open, thirty six (36) students have been selected as CEMarin ESR. The results of this call can be checked here.

In order to become a CEMarin ESR the candidate must meet the following requirements:

  1. To be a regular student in a PhD program of one of the CEMarin partner institutions.
  2. The advisor and/or co-advisor of the thesis project must be a CEMarin researcher.
  3. The thesis project should be related to CEMarin research topics.
  4. The candidate should demonstrate English proficiency at least Level B1, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or the equivalent in the TOEFL examination (minimum 500 score if the exam is presented in a written manner, minimum 173 if the exam has been presented by computer or minimum 61 if the exam has been presented by Internet) or in the IELTS exam (minimum 5.0 score).

If you are interested in becoming an official member of the CEMarin Corporation with the status of a CEMarin Early Stage Researcher and enjoy its benefits, you should:

  1. Fill the application form, and
  2. Send an e-mail to convocatorias@cemarin.org attaching the required documentation in the application form.

The information will be assessed by CEMarin and if you are accepted you will be notified by email. Once approved, the ESR may participate in the CEMarin calls.
