INTRODUCTIONThe Corporation Center for Excellence in Marine Science (CEMarin) is an international non-profit organization established by the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Universidad de Antioquia, Universidad del Valle, and the Justus Liebig University of Giessen, Germany. CEMarin’s main objectives are to work for the marine sciences in Colombia, supporting young scientists, promoting leading scientific research networks among different institutions and increasing the visibility of marine research in Colombia in international scenarios. Profile Area: Marine Sciences Aimed at: Undergraduate degree: Biology, marine biology, oceanography, coastal ecology, environmental engineering or related professionals. Profile: Master’s degree in marine science related topics. Preferably with doctorate. Certified experience in fundraising and management of international scientific networks, good teamwork skills.
Research trajectory:At least two research products in the last four (4) years in one following topics: bioprospecting, marine ecology, species conservation, environmental management, coral reefs, marine protected areas, marine-terrestrial ecosystems, reefs, maritime themes and coasts, and related.
- Search for research grants.
- Adjust research projects to the grant calls.
- Manage CEMarin calls.
- Design and preparation of scientific proposals according to guidelines from the Executive Director.
- Support the development of the Scientific Committee.
- Elaboration, monitoring of progress matrix of calls.
